Senior Financial Analyst

Volt is hiring for a remote Senior Financial Analyst in Santa Monica, CA.As a Senior Financial Analyst you will be:supporting the Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecast and Monthly Close processes and ongoing partnership with various support function leaders to optimize efficiencies, while ensuring we are maintaining flexibility and supporting the strategic objectives. Key outputs include preparation and analysis of c-suite and senior leader reporting packages, coordinating data-gathering across the organization, and assessing risk and opportunity ranges for initiatives and guidance.The Senior Financial Analyst position is a critical and highly visible role within the team that performs integrated companywide analysis and consolidation to support the executive leadership team and assists with the companywide planning and forecasting processes. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, this role will work to ana lyze, report and support the performance of the Corporate Support functions and specifically demonstrate a strong aptitude for interpreting, analyzing, and communicating complex business issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Problem solving, prioritization, and attention to detail are critical.Work with stakeholders across the business and the regions to plan for expenditures and headcount in the year aheadLoad all necessary information into the Hyperion systemPrepare AOP decks to relay all necessary information to stakeholdersQuarterly Forecast (30%) and intra-quarter trendingSupport the coordination of forecast inputs from various regions and business units, alignment of key assumptions and driversPrepare forecast reporting files by building and updating Essbase data queries and relevant summarized viewsPerform variance analysis, and ensure an environment of no surprises for senior leadershipMonthly Close & Reconciliation (30%)Prepare and submit journal entries for accruals, reclasses, and allocationsAnalyze and reconcile actuals to forecast with clear understanding of variancesProcess improvement (10%)Drive standardization and effective evolution of the company's Hyperion-based financial planning system to drive efficiencies and meet business needsHelp automate standard processes and reporting to reduce reporting burden and increase sophistication and capacity for analysisThis is a full-time 6-month remote contract opportunity.The ideal candidate will have:Prior Experience: 4+ years accounting. finance experience, preferably at a publicly traded companyExceptional quantitative and financial modelingAbility to thrive and multitask in a rapidly evolving environmentAble to work independently, with limited directionStrong communication, writing, and presentation skillsExcellent interpersonal skills at coordinating and consolidating inputs across multiple functionsThe highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic, multitasking environmentOutstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsHyperion/Essbase experience preferredAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPointKnowledge of general accounting and financial planningPlusesExperience in video game, software, technology or entertainment industriesReal passion for video gamesPay Rate: $55.00-$60.00/hr Depending on Experience*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY N OWfor immediate consideration!
