This role is focused on our Private Client Department, which handles a diverse caseload of privately funded work, including civil litigation, family law, property disputes, and more.
The Role:
We are seeking a newly qualified Solicitor to join our Private Client Department. The successful candidate will work on a variety of privately funded matters, with a particular emphasis on civil litigation, including commercial disputes, equine disputes, property matters, construction disputes, and will disputes. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor to manage a dynamic caseload and further develop their legal skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of privately paying matters, focusing on areas such as commercial disputes, equine disputes, property matters, construction disputes, and will disputes, as well as other civil litigation and family law matters.Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients, ensuring high standards of client care.Draft and review legal documents, agreements, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail.Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings where required.Collaborate with colleagues within the private client department and the wider firm to deliver comprehensive legal services.Keep abreast of relevant legal developments and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor (newly qualified or up to 1 year PQE).Strong academic background and legal training.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional client relationships.Exceptional drafting skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage a varied and demanding caseload effectively.Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.A strong interest in building a long-term career within private client and civil litigation work.
