Summary Description:The Business Development Director, Multifamily will play a pivotal role in driving continued market leadership in the multifamily segment, andexpanding market share for both new construction and retrofit solar and energy storage projects. This role requires a blend of market knowledge, analytical skills, strategic thinking and sales acumen to provide guidance to our new construction and retrofit sales teams. The Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership, sales, estimating, marketing, and operations teams to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Oversee the company's market presence in the multifamily real estate segment, and facilitate growth in market share.Build and maintain a list of all large multifamily development projects in California, and a database of existing multifamily portfolios.Build and maintain direct relationships with large multifamily developers and owners, and serve as a resource to developers and ownersfor guidance on solar project construction and financing.Serve as a subject matter expert on multifamily projects for the sales, marketing, project finance and operations teams.Provide guidance and strategy to the sales team for project forecasting, bidding and contracting efforts.Utilize Salesforce and other tools to track and manage lead generation activities, ensuring timely follow-up and nurturing of leads.TEAM BUILDING & CULTURE

7-10 years of experience in the multifamily real estate field as a development or asset manager.3-5 years of sales and/or business development experience with proven track record.Experience with Title 24 code as related to energy systems for real estate projects.Basic knowledge and understanding of grid-tied solar PV Systems and other renewable energy technologies.Extensive experience with Salesforce CRM and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and data management.Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.Strong organizational skills, able to support multiple concurrent projects.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills/mindset.Excellent time management skills - ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and delegate when appropriate.Confident and capable of holding others accountable.
