Super.com ’s financial results to internal and external stakeholders by providing technical accounting guidance on business initiatives, product and feature launches, and ensuring timely delivery of consolidated financial statements and note disclosures. The ideal candidate will be the first dedicated hire in accounting policy with a unique opportunity to build new processes, and be exposed to interesting and challenging accounting issues in a fast-growing fintech and travel company. As a subject matter expert, the ideal candidate will have exposure to senior executives and will build business acumen.Challenges You'll SolveDevelop and maintain

Super.com ’s corporate accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAPPrepare technical accounting memos for complex transactions, including revenue recognition and financing receivablesProvide guidance to internal stakeholders including Growth and Corporate Development teams by reviewing any new and proposed business initiatives, product and feature launches, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP for all reportingPrepare consolidated financial statements with accompanying note disclosuresLiaise with the external auditors on accounting and financial reporting policy issues, as required, to ensure successful financial statement auditsStay abreast of industry developments, applicable new and emerging accounting standards and best practices in technical accountingAssist with investor reporting deliverables, implementation of financial reporting software, and ad-hoc special financial reporting projectsSupport month-end close activities by reviewing areas of the financial statements that involve significant accounting estimates and judgementsAbout YouChartered Professional Accountant designationMinimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a financial reporting, technical accounting or accounting policy-related positionPublic accounting experience is requiredStrong technical background in U.S. GAAPExcellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to partner with various functions, and communicate technical accounting issues effectivelySelf-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Excel to create reports, models and automate processesExperience with ERP systems like Netsuite, and BI tools like LookerBonus PointsExperience in financial services or financial technology industry is a plusAccounting advisory/technical accounting experience in a public company or in public accounting is desirableExperience with financial reporting systems like WorkivaWe've got you covered!We are a Remote-first company, we offer flexible working hours with complete work-from-home freedom and a guilt-free unlimited vacation policyEnjoy employee rewards, and travel discounts using SnapTravelCompetitive salaries, equity options, full benefits from day one, wellness budgets, and paid development - we’ve got you covered!UberEats credits, meal budgets, special treats, and team lunches.
