OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANYFox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The job is defined as follows: Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Senior Accountant would be involved with a variety of tasks with the Fox First Run finance team. These responsibilities revolve around the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close; assisting the VP and the Director of Finance with a variety of accounting/finance tasks including but not limited to account reconciliations, invoicing, cash application. The position with liaise with the production accounting teams on weekly basis in order to prepare for the corporate accounting reporting requirements. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Prepare monthly/quarterly journal entries for the accounting close.

Monthly account reconciliations – including but not limited to corporate and production bank recs.

Maintenance of the cash & accounts receivables for Fox First Run.

Prepare monthly invoices for the distribution service.

Preparation of monthly intercompany transactions.

Application of cash for syndication payments received.

Help with the preparation of the annual budget.

Potential involvement with the production accounting team.

Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Looking for a highly motivated individual to be able to work and function in a very fast paced environment, working with production accounting teams as well as the corporate personnel of Fox First Run. The candidate must be willing to work long hours, be available to help on short notice, be available to meet in person on an as needed basis (the position is considered hybrid). Looking for a responsible person that will take ownership of the work and produce. Accounting degree is a must. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
