Project Engineer Manager
Rhino Tool House, Mooresville, NC
Responsible for providing engineering support for multiple ongoing projects, including responsible for design approvals, layouts, materials order/receipt, project timing, project reporting, contract deliverables, installation, and other project related tasks. Provide 2D and 3D design, combining multiple aspects of an engineered solution to document fit, function, and positions to the end customer, prior to release for fabrication. Utilize understanding of manufacturing plants, assembly, and tooling to provide technical expertise to projects. Identify opportunities to improve processes, assembly methods, production equipment, and quality control standards.
Perform project setup, updates, and close out in the Rhino Tool House ERP system. Order, track, receive, reconcile, and stage materials. Manage all project documents. Communicate with vendors regarding project deliverables. Communicate with internal team members regarding project specifications, deliverables, tasks, and updates. Manage project changes. Track and manage project financials. Requires: Master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a closely-related degree. 15 years of experience in any mechanical design engineering position.
Demonstrated experience in 3D Design and Layout. Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing plants, assembly, and tooling. Demonstrated knowledge of the following SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Pro/E, MS Project, MS Visio, Navisworks, Mathcad, Adobe Photoshop, PILOT NV5235 (Torsional Vibration Calculation of Shafting Systems), and MSC visualNastran 4D. Professional Engineer license in any U.S. state. Good standing member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Work from home available from any location within normal commuting distance from Phoenix, Arizona. Travel required up to 20% of the time to project locations in the United States.
