BryceTech is looking for an experienced Contracts Specialist to support our US Space Force, Space Systems Command (SSC) customer.Customer Background Information:
Space Domain Awareness & Combat Power is the Space Systems Command Program Executive Office (PEO) focused on delivering cyber, ground- and space-based systems that rapidly detect, warn, characterize, attribute, and predict threats to national, allied, and commercial space systems, while also providing National Security deterrence capabilities countering those identified threats to prevail in a space conflict.SSC/SZ-BC provides highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to meet current and projected Department of Defense (DoD) operational requirements. SSC/SZ-BC develops, integrates, tests, deploys, sustains, and supports operations for systems that meet strategic and tactical operational needs. SSC provides unrivaled space systems to ensure survival for both the United States Space Force and our nation. These systems span the entire acquisition life cycle. This contract will support multiple SSC/SZ-BC programs, as well as various other Space Force, Air Force, and mission partner programs.The effort will support the development, advancement, and sustainment of weapon systems for Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDACP) (SSC/SZ), Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) (SSC/BC), and their mission partners. This mission area requires personnel with experience and an in-depth understanding of the environments that include ground, near-space, space, and any system that operates in those environments.Minimum Knowledge and Experience:Expert in Federal, DoD, Air Force, and SSC contracting processes and proceduresDemonstrates ability to assist the government with all aspects of any contract action required by the program office, including but not limited to solicitations, change proposals, funding modifications and award, or incentive fee managementPrior PCO or buyer experience preferredHighly Desired: past or present experience with SSC or mission partner space control or space situational awareness mission area programsDescription of Work:Assist the Government to execute source selections subject to FAR 9.505-4. Source selection assistance activities shall include, but are not limited to, coordinating functional meeting requests, developing source selection documentation (e.g. source selection plan, acquisition strategy, non-disclosure agreements, etc.), and reviewing and drafting proposal evaluations, to the extent that such activities are not inherently governmental.Provide contract and subcontract management support. Assist Government Contracting Officers and contract specialists in executing various contracting actions, to include advising on requests for proposals, technical evaluations, contract negotiation, contract administration, and contract execution to the extent that such activities are not inherently governmental. Provide contracts guidance and determinations and technical and operational leadership for the program and business management teams. Advise all levels of management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving.Advise and assist on management of existing Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts and with development and execution of acquisition strategies for any such follow-on efforts.Experience Requirements:
