Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a
Sr Principal Project Manager . This position will be located in
Roy, Utah
or
Huntsville, AL
and will support the Sentinel Program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
In this role, you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. You review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports; assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. You will develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Essential Responsibilities:
Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of new and ongoing projects to support program technical and non-technical requirements.
Work side by side with Supplier Management Teams (SMT) to support the development of Statement of Work (SOW) and Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRL) packages in IBM Rationale DOORS software.
Capture, track and manage prime and subcontract requirements and maintain 100% traceability of those requirements from the prime contract to the subcontract level.
Interface with stakeholders to derive master contract requirements to support subcontract Request for Proposals (RFP).
The ability to trace a master contract requirement to subordinate documents, ensuring compliance with the issued contract and specifications.
Assessing project issues and assisting in developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Coordinate with technical leads and specialty engineering on tailoring of statement of works.
Contribute to product and process quality by helping to define and track metrics and leading indicators.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 10 years of project management/related industry experience or Master's degree and 8 years experience. 4 additional years of relevant experience may be added in lieu of degree.
US Citizenship with an active secret security clearance with adjudication in the last 5 years and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite.
Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Working knowledge of the following: Developing Statement of Work (SOW) and Supplier Data Requirement List packages (SDRL). Developing, Implementing and Updates on Project Schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
IBM Rationale DOORS software experience.
Aerospace Manufacturing and/or Aerospace Engineering knowledge.
Previous Project Management (or similar) knowledge/experience.
Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience, ability to utilize them professionally.
Practice in implementing Lean/Agile principles and methodologies.
Request for Proposal (RFP) Planning.
Salary Range:
$95,000 - $142,400
Salary Range 2:
$104,900 - $157,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
