Great role for a Litigation Attorney with 4+ years experience in insurance coverage. The role involves representation of international and domestic insurers during claim investigations and litigation concerning policy defenses of first party insurance. Must be collaborative and able to act independently throughout the litigation process, with an interest in developing an expertise in insurance coverage work in a unique area. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives within a busy, stimulating and fast-paced team environment.
Open to California or Washington State bar, the firm will also consider candidates relocating to LA or Orange County (open to NY, Nevada, Oregon, Washington State or California bar)Job DescriptionAs Litigation Attorney - Insurance, Key Responsibilities will include:Taking depositions, attending court hearings and mediationDrafting motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests and interrogatories, and other legal correspondence/ litigation documentsVaried matters including analyzing insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide coverage advice and recommendations to clientsWork with investigators and expertsActively contribute to the development and maintenance of client relationshipsThe Successful ApplicantThe successful Litigation Attorney - Insurance, demonstrable experience will include:Admitted to practice in LA (or another bar if relocating to work in the LA or Orange County office)3+ years relevant Litigation Attorney experienceFirst-party insurance coverage experience (e.g. marine, fine art and specie, property, specialty, contingency, special events, cyber etc.) highly beneficialCommercial litigation experience including the taking of depositions, conduct of oral arguments and discoveryFederal court experienceStrong writing, organizational and time management skillsRelevant hands-on work history.What's on OfferThe Litigation Attorney - Insurance, will be receive the following benefits:$175,000-$220,000 base salary (depending on experience)
Generous wider benefits package including 18 weeks' fully paid parental leave, monthly and annual performance bonus (1900 hours billable target)
401(k) - 3% company contribution
