Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it.The Pairing Frameworks team is looking for an energetic and creative software engineer to build solutions that unlock the power of the watch by building infrastructure to support its unique relationship to other devices.DescriptionAs part of the Pairing Frameworks team, you will be foundational to the Apple Watch platform, working closely with Apple Watch software teams across the organization by building system frameworks. You will collaborate with the networking team and other cross functional partners to develop and improve the pairing and communication technologies, working with design and QA partners to help define the user facing goals of those technologies. You will play a core role in innovating and improving setup and pairing, giving new Apple Watch users their first experience on the platform.Minimum QualificationsBS CE/CS or equivalent experience requiredProficient in Objective-C and SwiftExperience building high traffic system frameworks and related infrastructureYou have experience optimizing applications and profiling throughout the stackSystems knowledge, hands-on experience with inter-process communicationYou are upbeat, adaptable, and results oriented with a positive attitudeFantastic attention to detailPreferred Qualifications
Experience improving and expanding on existing complex projects and systemsYou have defined and driven large scale projects across different levels of the stackAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
