Responsibilities• Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.• Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.• Obtains patient’s pertinent history.• Maintains crash cart.• Maintains and stocks inventory.• Maintains OSHA regulations.• Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.• Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules.• Reports to lead technologist for work assignments.• Assists with film quality control. Required to work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the department.• Assists and relieves manager expediting the patient workflow through the department.

QualificationsLevel of EducationAssociate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Must be AART registered or eligible also IDNS licensed.• CPR certification.Years of Experience6 months - 2 years related experience.
