The renowned Butler Hospital is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join the collaborative, multidisciplinary team of Physicians, APRNs, and Physician Assistants providing medical care at an organization with a long-respected history.About the OpportunityMonday - Friday, 10 - 12 patients per day, no call or weekendsPerform admission history and physical exams for patients admitted to inpatient units and substance abuse partial hospital programPerform consultations upon request for evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical issuesInterpret laboratory and diagnostic studies as required for patient careAssist in management of urgent medical situations and participate in the medical emergency response teamCollaborate with psychiatric, medical, and nursing staff to ensure timely and appropriate care of all patientsStrong clinical skills with a broad foundation of general medical knowledge and ability to work independentlyAt least 1 year of experience preferredCompetitive base salary, and generous benefit package including CME, malpractice insurance coverage, and employer retirement match programFounded in 1844, Butler Hospital is the state's only non-profit, free-standing psychiatric hospital providing adults, seniors and adolescents specialized assessment and treatment for all major psychiatric illnesses and substance abuse.Butler is the major affiliated teaching hospital for psychiatry and behavioral health of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
