As a Customer Application Specialist at Mantle, you will play a key role in building capable and productive customers. You will become an expert in Mantle’s technology and design best-practices. You will be directly responsible for educating both prospective and current customers on integrating and applying Mantle’s design conventions to maximize the value of Mantle’s technology, balancing practicality with efficiency. Your expertise will help customers unlock the full potential of Mantle’s technology, and you'll play a key role in demonstrating value.

A successful Customer Application Specialist:

will manage the technical relationship with prospective customers, understanding the requirements for their target applications and managing implementation and communication related to DFM and value optimization

will collaborate with Process Development to curate customer educational materials with the goal of powering customers’ self-sufficiency and Mantle’s impact on our customers’ productivity

will own the fulfillment of printed sample part production for customers through project initiation and discovery, design iterations and approvals, and through printing and fulfillment

Key Responsibilities Include

Managing pre-sales customer relationships with technical teams, presenting on sample part cost estimates and design enhancements to improve manufacturability and maximize Mantle value

Advising existing customer engineers and tool designers on application best practices and efficiencies to maximize value with Mantle’s technology

Fulfilling and delivering customer sample part projects, working alongside internal teams to produce, inspect, and characterize the properties of produced samples

Supporting the Sales team’s efforts with sample parts, including quoting and documentation

Collecting and relaying necessary product features and functionality to Mantle’s Product and Engineering teams to expand Mantle’s application space and impact in tooling manufacturing

Collaborating with Customer Success team to strengthen the process knowledge base, share insights, and document learnings

Synthesizing, documenting, and communicating updates to best practices and applications knowledge to customers

Your Qualifications

3+ years of experience in design consulting or new technology implementation

3+ years working with or designing for manufacturing technologies and processes, ideally injection molding

Strong CAD and modeling skills, preferably SolidWorks or Fusion360

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or technical discipline

Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Experience in delivering customer-focused solutions based on customer needs

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and project management skills

Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time

Remote/On-site Expectations

During onboarding and while training, you are expected to be

on-site 4 days per week

Expected to be on-site at least 3-days per week , provided all responsibilities can be managed remotely when not in office

The pay range for this role is $110,000 - $132,000 per year and is commensurate with experience relative to the position. Position also includes stock options that are subject to vesting. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including experience, skills, and location. Mantle is an equal opportunity employer.
