About the roleThe Core Systems team at eero is responsible for maintaining, scaling, and developing distributed systems critical to our operations, developing data services that handle fleet analytics and business metrics, and creating reusable tools and components that enable the rest of the organization to build scalable, secure, and reliable software.
Key job responsibilities
Develop software libraries, patterns, and services that enable engineers to be secure by defaultImprove monitoring to detect anomalous behaviorReview and perform threat analysis on system designsAdvise project teams on security requirementsCreate tools to perform security checks and alerting early in the development processParticipate in incident response
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
