GDM is an award-winning Architecture and Engineering firm with locations in Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, Arizona, Hawaii and Alaska. We are looking for a CAD Drafter to join our team. This self-motivated individual will work with all levels of management and staff to maintain CAD software standards and provide drafting support in AutoCAD and Revit for complex architectural and engineering projects.Daily Duties/Tasks
Setting up project base filesCoordinate and manage CAD and Revit standardsCreate Revit families and CAD blocksReview all work for completeness and accuracyComplete printing and plotting requestsCoordinate file exchange and archiving of milestone submittalsCreate project record drawingsPrimary Responsibilities
CAD drafting and managementUnderstanding of Revit and AutoCADManaging CAD standards for a design team and the firmResolve complex CAD based issues that may arise in designReviewing drawing sets for company standards complianceTraining design and delivery for managers to adopt to CAD standardsStay informed of evolving standards and software innovationsExperience
A.A.S. in Architectural and Engineering Technology (AET) (Preferred)Demonstrated experience with A/E system designProficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering design softwareRelevant degree and/or trade school certificationAbility to exercise judgement and discretionAbility to set priorities and manage competing demandsDemonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethicAbility to deliver ongoing education and support to Revit project teamsAbility to meet critical deadlinesPossess a strong work ethic and conduct operations with integrityPunctuality and a desire to learn and improveHealth, Vision, and Dental insurancePaid time off – 6 weeks per yearRetirement 401k – 3% contribution by employerBonus pay up to $17,500 per yearApplication Process
