Senior Business Analyst (GenAI team)

Doran Jones is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a newly formed GenAI Technology team that supports the Operational Risk Management division of a leading financial services company.You will be working on a project that is an ongoing redesign of the Operational Risk Management application.This team is pioneering the use of artificial intelligence to transform how risks are identified, managed, and mitigated, with a focus on automating the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process.As part of this dynamic team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that will directly enhance the company’s operational risk management capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product owners, developers, and data scientists) to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies and manage the backlog using tools like Jira.Write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria based on stakeholder requirements.Examine and analyze data sets from various areas across the organization, identifying key insights and relevant data points to support AI/ML model training and inference.Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to define data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for feeding relevant data into LLMs.Understand and map organizational data flows and how they relate to operational risk, identifying key data sources that can enhance the effectiveness of GenAI models.Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on data strategy.Support testing and validation efforts to ensure data quality and accuracy in AI model outputs.Required Experience

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile/Scrum environment (5+ years).Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including backlog management and story writing using tools like Jira.Strong analytical skills with experience in examining complex data sets from various domains and understanding their relevance to business objectives.Familiarity with data pipelines and ETL processes and how they relate to AI/ML model training.Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and work closely with data science teams.Experience in operational risk management or financial services is a plus.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Preferred Experience

Consulting experience.Knowledge of large language models (LLMs) and their data requirements.Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and/or SQL for data exploration.Experience working on GenAI projects or familiarity with AI/ML concepts.Doran Jones Inc.
