About The Role:
Arbor Homes is seeking an enthusiastic, customer service and team-oriented Design Consultant for our Design Center located in Indianapolis, IN. We are seeking candidates with prior interior design experience to offer design guidance and product knowledge to our Homebuyers as they make the interior and exterior selections for their dream home.

Assisting buyers with making selections to customize their homeEnsure that homebuyer(s) is aware of all options availableEntering customer information/selections into computer systemsAdvise customers on interior design functions (with respect to color, functionality, budget)Provide complete product information detailing performance, durability, and maintenance of homebuyer(s) selectionsAssist in determining market driven standard features and optionsManage distribution of design center paperworkCommunicate with Sales, Purchasing, Homeowners and Trades as required to successfully execute the homebuilding processIs knowledgeable and able to communicate the design center experience and the overall new home buying experienceOther duties as assigned or expectedWhat Will You Bring?
Prior design related experience with a production homebuilder preferredExcellent customer service skillsWillingness to learn and adaptDetail oriented, self-disciplined and organized with excellent follow-upAbility to deal with conflict & set expectationsGreat listening skills and creative problem solving with the ability to find the root cause, as well as a solutionMust be a team-player with an enthusiastic attitudeEffective communication skills and a sense of urgencyHigh level of integrityGood time management skillsStrong interpersonal skills with attention to detailStrong computer skillsAble to establish priorities and meet deadlinesMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demandsMust be current with design trends in a variety of stylesMust have ability to read and understand architectural and structural blueprintsFinancial knowledge as it relates to residential mortgage loansMust be willing to work some evenings and weekends
