Our team of experienced leaders are dedicated to delivering the highest standards of training, providing tools, and ensuring professional growth of our team members.Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales who is responsible for leading and managing the hotel's sales team to achieve revenue targets and maximize occupancy. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. The Director of Sales oversees the development and implementation of sales strategies, builds relationships with key clients, and collaborates with other departments to ensure excellent guest experiences and profitability.Core Job Responsibilities & DutiesDevelop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and market penetrationConduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities for growthSet sales targets and develop action plans to ensure they are met or exceededRegularly review and adjust sales strategies based on market conditions and performanceBuild and maintain relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, travel agencies and third-party companiesIdentify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the hotel's client baseConduct regular meetings and negotiations with clients to secure contracts and maintain high customer satisfactionCollaborate with the marketing team to create promotional activities and campaigns to attract and retain customersMonitor and analyze sales performance, revenue, and market demand to identify opportunities for revenue optimizationImplement pricing strategies and manage inventory to maximize revenue per available room (RevPAR)Review and negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the hotelCollaborate with the revenue management team to optimize pricing, distribution channels, and yield management strategiesRecruit, train, and motivate the sales team, providing guidance and support to maximize their potentialSet clear sales objectives, establish performance metrics, and conduct regular performance evaluationsFoster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional developmentProvide ongoing coaching and mentoring to the sales team, promoting their skills and knowledgeWork closely with other departments, such as operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and excellent guest experiencesCommunicate regularly with the general manager and executive team to provide updates on sales performance, strategies, and initiativesRepresent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the property and establish industry contractsHold regular briefings and meetings with sales team to ensure progress - daily update meetings, weekly BEO meetings, etc.Perform any other duties as assigned by Executive team & OwnershipQualification Standards & Company RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or MBA is preferredAt least 5-years of experience in the hospitality industryAt least 3-years of experience in hotel sales with a proven track of success in a similar sales leadership role in hospitality industry and knowledge of hotel salesStrong knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, and market dynamicsExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales teamStrong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key clientsAnalytical mindset and the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisionsAbility to manage and lead a teamPresent strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to reach with impactful strategiesStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software(s), and customer relationship management (CRM) softwareMust have a flexible work schedule*Please note that specific job requirements and responsibilities may vary depending on the company's policies, size, and other factors*
