Who We Seek
Hispanic Federation seeks a Program Evaluator to develop and maintain the organization's project and advocacy evaluation system, work with staff to plan and conduct evaluations, and develop tools and capacity for consistent evaluation that documents the impact of HF's projects and advocacy work. The Program Evaluator will help ensure evaluation capacity across the organization, including HF state and regional offices. The successful candidate will have experience in nonprofit program evaluation, skills in qualitative and quantitative evaluation, and the ability to work with diverse staff and partners. The Program Evaluator will be expected to travel to various program locations as needed.

Roles
Manage establishment of a program- and advocacy-focused evaluation system for the Hispanic Federation, including policies and procedures that specify basic expectations for all projects and in-depth evaluations for selected/major projectsDevelop a set of tools for use in designing and conducting project evaluations that meet HF standardsLead/implement individual project evaluations, including one or two in-depth evaluations of major programs each yearWork with HF partner organizations to evaluate HF-funded projects they operateDesign project evaluations and related cost elements to include in proposalsPrepare evaluation reports both for internal use and for fundersHelp to select consultant evaluators to ensure appropriate experience and skillsWork with project staff and consultant evaluators to design and implement evaluationsTrain HF staff, especially project managers, to collect appropriate data and be a part of the evaluation processWork closely with Data Manager and Grantmaking staff to establish and maintain necessary data systems for evaluationWork with state and regional offices on evaluation of programs operating in their areasWork with senior management to determine evaluation needs and prioritiesSkills and Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's in social science or other relevant field or equivalent experienceThree years of experience in program evaluation or related activities in a nonprofit environmentExperience in full range of evaluation activities, including identification of key questions, determination of data needs and sources, use of qualitative and quantitative data, development of step-by-step evaluation plans, development of evaluation tools, work with staff to ensure that necessary data are collected, direct data collection, analysis of data, and preparation and presentation of reportsAbility to conduct and report on evaluations in both English and SpanishStrong attention to detail and an ability to complete multiple tasks with demanding deadlinesComputer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and SurveyMonkey or related softwareProficiency in reviewing, understanding, and analyzing large and varied data setsAbility to produce clear and easy to understand ("plain language") reportsExcellent interpersonal and oral communication skillsFlexibility and ability to work effectively in diverse teamsPreferred:
Master's in evaluation or related fieldExperience with nonprofit organizationsUnderstanding of Latino and social justice issues and a commitment to Hispanic Federation's mission and core values
Benefits and Salary
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 and is commensurate with experience. Compensation comes with a robust benefits package with a fully paid medical, dental, vision insurance as of the 403(b) retirement plan with a company match after 6 months, and access to flexible spending and pre-tax commuter benefits. First year employees of the Hispanic Federation receive a PTO package with 15 days designated for vacation, 4 personal days, and 8 sick days annually.
