Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here's how the Manager/Senior Manager, Global Business Development will make an impact:Play a key role in day-to-day activities of the Global Business Development team and help execute on the company's growth strategy of establishing Viatris as a Partner of Choice for new scientific, commercial, and strategic partnerships.

This role will support senior BD colleagues in identifying target partners, conduct and coordinate due diligence activities across functions, perform financial and valuation analysis of opportunities, and create summary materials in support of executive management decision-making.

The role offers a unique opportunity to be a major contributor to the successful execution of Viatris' growth strategy.

Key responsibilities for this role include:Work closely with the Global BD team and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., R&D, Finance, Commercial, Legal, HR) to support key strategic goals and execute strategic alliances and transactions (e.g., licenses, acquisitions, joint ventures, etc.).

Support senior BD colleagues in end-to-end deal processes, including sourcing, coordinating cross-functional diligence, financial analysis and valuations, structuring terms, and negotiations/contracting.

Support, and at times lead, the analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of cross-functional diligence reports into concise business cases to be presented to senior management.

Support, and at times lead, project management and coordination of work conducted with external consultants, investment bankers, and legal counsel in support of transactions as required.

Create and maintain financial models and project datasets to support the BD team with business analytics and financial valuations of deals.

Maintain up-to-date contact log and deal database of ongoing projects.

Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the biopharma space and key therapeutic areas of interest.

Support the development of strategic presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors as related to business development initiatives.

Attend partnering conferences and networking events on behalf of the company to build relationships with prospective partners.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Any Master's degree in a business-related or biological sciences field is a plus, but not required.

3-5 (manager) / 5-7 (senior manager) years of experience in Business development at a biopharma company, life sciences investment banking, or life sciences strategy consulting preferred.

Flexibility on leveling dependent on the candidate's background, experience, and strength of interview.

Investment banking and/or strategy consulting experience is a plus.

Strong grasp of the fundamentals of pharmaceutical drug discovery, development, and commercialization.

Successful track record working on transactions in the biotech and pharmaceutical space; working directly or in a supportive role to close strategic transactions (licensing, M&A, financings) preferred.

Proficiency in deal modeling as related to therapeutics (risk adjusted DCF, share of NPV, comps analysis etc.) and corporate finance modeling (accretion/dilution, pro forma modeling, etc.).Experience working with various databases and data sources to research companies, clinical trials, competitive positioning, and commercial opportunities of therapeutics.

Strong understanding of epi-based revenue forecasting and modeling for therapeutics.

Strong communication skills and comfort presenting in front of senior internal and external audiences.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure and dynamic work environment with ability to work on multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.

Ability to relate and work with wide range of colleagues across varied functions, experience levels, and backgrounds to achieve results.

This role will report onsite at our New York City office 1-2 days/week.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
