Intellectual Property Specialist

Our client is looking for an experienced IP Specialist to join their Hartford team! The responsibilities include but aren't limited to:Work closely with Attorneys to manage the legal processes involved in protecting trademarks and patents. This includes handling important deadlines, preparing and submitting legal documents, and communicating with clients and foreign law firms.Ability to operate independently and take care of tasks including filing paperwork with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) and keeping track of legal documents related to patents and trademarks.Interact with clients and foreign law firms to ensure everything is in order for trademark and patent applications both in the U.S. and internationally.Ability to use organizational skills to manage multiple projects, ensuring everything is done correctly and on time.Qualifications2-3 years of intellectual property experience, including using an IP practice management system in a law firm or IP corporate legal setting.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word and Excel) and billing software(s).
