The Counselor in Counseling Services provides individual and sometimes group Christian counseling services to any enrolled Union student. He or she also seeks to assist students in overall mental, spiritual and relational health and in his or her academic pursuits. Counselors may also coordinate outreach and consultation efforts and provide educational programming, presentations and consultation to the Union University community on college mental health and wellness issues.About Union UniversityUnion University is a private, coeducational liberal arts-based university offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Required QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in counseling, or a related field and prior experience in providing counseling services to college aged students.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and have evidence of an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit.Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated successful experience in counseling services and have certification as a

LPC

or

LCSW .Successful candidates must be professing Christians who are active members of a local church, enthusiastically support Union University’s Identity, Mission, and Core Values, and articulate a Christian worldview in their work and life.
