The Department of Neurology is seeking a
Research Program Coordinator
who will be responsible for implementing clinical research related to understanding brain health in vulnerable populations including people with HIV, mental illness, and dementia in the Division of Neuroimmunology & Neurological Infections. This position should be personable and dedicated individuals with the ability and desire to help patients with diverse needs by performing important clinical research studies. The applicant must be well-organized and be able to work independently, as well as collaborate with the principal investigators and research team. In addition, applicants should be thorough and detail-oriented when performing all aspects of the research including when conducting cognitive testing, scoring, and record keeping.
Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct participant telephone and in-person screening, schedule, and enroll research participants.Review patient medical charts to determine potential eligibility.Review study protocol, and obtain informed consent from study participants as dictated by study.Administer and score neuropsychological testing.Manage the collection of and assure the accuracy of data for all participant visits.Enter study material into the database.Assist the principal investigators in monitoring study progress and defining and planning study goals.Manage and maintain all participant binders, study binders, and documentation for the study.Assist with preparation of IRB submissions and continuing review reports.Assist with biospecimen collection and follow protocol requirements for appropriate handling and labeling.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Adhering to IRB protocols.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in related discipline.Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in neuropsychological test administration, Redcap, EPIC preferred.
