Lead Test Engineer

The Multi-Domain Solutions Division at Leidos currently has an opening for a LeadIntegration and Test Engineer to work in our Reston, VA or Alexandria, VA office.Ability to work in Northern Virginia is preferred. Candidate working from remote locations and willing to travel will also be considered.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Lead Test Engineer will be responsible for leading the team responsible for enterprise level test requirements development, planning, system hardware-software-network integration, verification, validation and fielding support for network and network systems. This includes defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of products. Lead vendor engagements to evaluate systems, align test requirements, identify test methods for verification and validation of network systems. High Level tasking for this team will include the following:Work with customer to build and implement test strategiesServe as primary tester interface with Chief EngineerInterface with vendors and facilitate integration into a larger system-of-systems modelIdentify test methodology to verify and validate systems efficientlyDesign reviews of solutions and review of vendor validation methodsIdentifying and track risks for integration and validationFacilitate working groups and information exchange in support of program objectivesInformal and formal technical interchanges, and formal reviews for integration and test artifacts and milestonesCollaborate with software and hardware subject matter experts to ensure testing is producing expected resultsSupport the development and maintenance of system integration plans and system test plansWorking with systems engineering to support interface developmentDiagnose problems encountered during application integration among products and address fixes/enhancements according to prescribed program processesDocument lessons learned and develop and maintain a robust test discipline for the programBuild and support a culture grounded in the Leidos values, beliefs and expectations and highest standards of ethical and respectful behaviorLead and mentor test team engineersBasic Qualifications Must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearanceBachelors degree with and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.Demonstrable knowledge of test engineering concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense programsDemonstrable knowledge in test automation and test result analysisDemonstrable experience in design review participation and providing customer centric inputDemonstrable experience in network topologies to validate functionality, performance, stability and scalability of features and products.Proven expertise in creating test methodologies and writing test specificationsStrong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience Experience in Integration, test, verification, and validationDemonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence)Ability to travel when needed by the programClearance RequiredAbility to obtain a TS/SCIPreferred QualificationsPrior experience with Model Based TestingPrior experience working on ABMS or JADC2 initiativesPrior experience designing and deployment networksPrior experience with SAFe Agile implementationPrior experience support Department of the Air Force programsPrevious experience working on complex multi-domain systemsExperience with large weapons systems and command and control platforms across the DoD portfolioExperience with design and validation of Cloud and Edge Computing and NetworksOriginal Posting Date:2024-08-08While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
