Medical Laboratory Technician
Medical Laboratory Technician functions under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor. Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing various routine clinical laboratory tests.
Responsibilities
Operates manual and automatic laboratory instrument/equipmentCalibrates and performs routine maintenance on laboratory instrument/equipmentPrepares chemicals, reagents, and solutions required for clinical laboratory testingUtilizes the Laboratory Information System to enter test orders, report results, look up results, verify specimen receipt time and date, and check pending testsComplies with all Clinic policies and procedures, including Safety and the Code of Conduct
QualificationsMinimum of an Associates of Science or related degree required1-2 years of experience working in a clinical laboratoryKnowledge of CAP & CLIA regulations and standardsExperience in Clinical Chemistry & Special Chemistry with Roche Cobas system preferredMLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent preferredBenefits
