We're currently looking for a Senior Content Designer - Product
to help us shape the future of providing world-class product experiences for our users. This role is a hybrid role based in our headquarters in Belmont, CA. You'll be joining RingCentral's global product design team. Reporting to our Director of Content Design, you'll be working closely with product managers, designers, support functions, and various company partners to develop intuitive product experiences for our users. Senior Content Designer - Product ,
you'll be an essential member of a cross-functional product team, a tireless advocate for our users, and a dependable partner to your peers. Your primary responsibilities will include: Write clear, concise, and compelling product copy that makes it easy for our users to accomplish their tasks
Build strong partnerships and collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, developers, documentation writers, and other stakeholders across the company
Work with internal teams and stakeholders to obtain an in-depth understanding of the products and services, the target audiences, and the appropriate written communication strategies
Collaborate with design and product leaders to develop the vocabulary and strategic content direction for your product domain
Direct content research projects as needed to understand our users' communication needs to enable evidence-based decision-making
Contribute to our product content style guide, terminology database, and design system, and drive the adoption of content standards by training designers, product managers, and other functions
Build and maintain positive strategic relationships with content leaders in other divisions to ensure a cohesive content experience across the company
Coach and mentor more junior content designers to help them grow in their careers and serve as a subject matter expert to the broader UX team
Contribute to our culture of constructive design critique, enabling team members to realize their potential
Desired Qualifications: You have a passion for building products that are easy to learn and intuitive to use, and your background looks something like this: You earned a Bachelor's degree or higher in English, journalism, media studies, communications, marketing, creative writing, or a related field.
You have at least seven years of experience as a UX writer, content strategist, or content designer for software products.
You can demonstrate a history of outstanding writing and editing skills and developing end-to-end content experiences.
You have a deep understanding of human-centered design practices and a point of view about the role of content in the design process.
You can work independently on multiple projects with different flavors, from explorative initiatives to clearly defined projects that move fast.
You have experience developing and communicating strategic content decisions to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
You have the ability to collaborate with senior leaders across practice areas, particularly those with approaches and perspectives different from your own, to craft effective solutions.
You know how to leverage data analysis, user research, benchmarking, and content audits to facilitate content decisions and deployment.
You're leading by example and enjoy mentoring and coaching more junior team members to help them grow both professionally and as a person
You're willing to travel as needed.
You're a critical thinker with a can-do attitude, for whom no task is too small.
