The Opportunity

As the International Account Manager, you will take charge of the entire import process for our customer accounts. You'll be their go-to person, providing top-notch service and support throughout every step of the shipment process. Your dedication to customer satisfaction will be demonstrated as you price, manage, and monitor shipments, ensuring on-time delivery while keeping customers in the loop with proactive communication. This role is a unique fusion of sales, operations, and account management, allowing you to show off exceptional problem-solving skills while delivering a truly memorable customer experience.

Responsibilities-

Customer Relationships & PricingManage daily freight activities for assigned customer accounts, requiring effective communication with customers, international outside sales team, and vendors in the US and abroad.Cultivate and strengthen relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors.Develop competitive pricing solutions to secure and grow business for assigned customers.Ensure positive financial outcomes for assigned files, including revenue, profit, and variances.Provide pricing support to the international outside sales team for RFPs, spot rates, and projects.Operations & Account Management

Coordinate with overseas offices to manage documentation, shipment creation, tracking, and customer updates.Demonstrate expertise in documentation for various shipment types such as FCL, LCL, air, and cross border.Strengthen carrier and agent relationships globally and in the US.Support compliance procedures to protect customers and ensure understanding of industry regulations.Stay updated on market intelligence, geopolitics, and industry challenges to make informed decisions for Steam and customers.Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience-

Bachelor's Degree preferred or an equivalent of education/experience.1+ years of logistics experience required; 3 years preferred. Preference given to 3PL experience with international ocean and air shipments.Proactive, independent, and reliable in a fast-paced, team environment.Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.Strong organizational, analytical, and self-motivation skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Knowledge of freight forwarding, pricing, or international shipping operations.Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Cargowise is a plus.What We Offer-
