Aon is seeking a Human Capital Consultant in NYC
We are currently looking to hire a Human Capital Consultant for our New York Mergers & Acquisitions insurance diligence team. As part of an industry-leading team, you will advise our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our M&A and Transaction Solutions business group.
Job Responsibilities:Lead human capital due diligence projectsWork directly with private equity or corporate clients as well as their other outside advisors which typically include accounting, legal and environmental expertsCoordinate with internal resources to develop findings with including international, pension, and executive compensation experts, Reps and Warranties brokers, originators and other M&A team membersManage and execute client deliverables including interim email updates, phone conversations and a final reportAnalyze and provide technical input and benchmarking on health & welfare, retirement, employment agreements, and equity plans and human capital sections of the draft purchase agreementCollaborate with originators in establishing relationships, converting due diligence targets to ongoing clients and helping to develop opportunitiesProvide ongoing relationship management oversight to private equity clientsPrepare proposals and make presentations to clientsBe viewed as a thought leader (creative thinking and innovation); proven credibility (knowledge/ trust) both externally and internallyWrite due diligence reports, white papers, presentations, newsletters, etc.Communicate and capture the value that Aon brings even to the most challenging situationsRequired Experience:Human capital technical proficiency. Broad knowledge of health & welfare, defined contribution retirement and executive compensation.
Knowledge of defined benefit and multi-employer pension, retiree medical, and international benefits a plusProject management - coordinate activities and information flow from a group of people within specified time framesFinancial - proficiency in reviewing financial statements and accounting in relation to insurance costsLife, Accident & Health License or willingness to obtainAbility to work on multiple projects at one timeAbility to work independently and/or in working groups to complete projectsExperience in collaborating and training fellow project managersStrategic and analytical skills - attention to detail while also being able to draw connections in order to provide overall conclusionsCommunication (written and verbal) - ability to communicate well and at the appropriate level with a wide range of individualsAbility to perform under stress / tight time framesAbility to develop relationships / build confidence of others (both internally and externally) based upon work performedOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsResults oriented - focus on conversion opportunities (including full and partial)Proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point
Preferred Experience:2 or more years of human capital due diligence experience5 or more years of experience working as a human capital or health & welfare consultant, corporate benefits manager, or underwriterEducation:Bachelor's degree in related field
