The Lead Financial Performance Analyst will be responsible for advanced analysis of financial results and communicate drivers of performance to senior management and provider sponsors. This position will also lead financial performance analysis and collaborate across departments to identify and present opportunities to improve financial outcomes.

  • Starting salary range based upon skills and experience: $98,900 - $123,700 plus robust total rewards package


Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced analysis of monthly financial statements to discern performance drivers, reconcile fluctuations, and identify emerging trends.
  • Create strategic financial models and forecasts to guide decision-making and enhance overall financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and provide insights for informed decision-making.
  • Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Complete and forward financial reports to executive leadership, highlighting areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and coordinate monthly committees with provider sponsors to discuss key findings around financial performance and present opportunities to improve.
  • Develop forecasts to assist senior management and provider sponsors to understand the risks and possible outcomes of future financial performance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field, with coursework in Computer programming, Economics, Statistics, Financial Management, and Professional Communications; equivalent, relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement.
  • 6+ years of experience in finance, actuarial, or related insurance capacity.
  • 3+ years of experience with managed care organizations.
  • Experience in efficiently accessing and analyzing financial performance.
  • CPA/CMA or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of personal computer software applications, business intelligence, and reporting tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively interact with other departments, external parties, including vendors, regulators, auditors, and contractors.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical/interpretive skills
  • Ability to effectively manipulate and analyze large data sets to determine meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Experienced in working with financial indicators to measure business performance, in addition to financial model development and analysis.
  • Works well independently, under pressure, and is adaptable to change.
  • Ability to translate and communicate complex topics in a variety of forums, tailoring communications to effectively fit and influence the targeted audience.

This position will work in-person at our office located in Madison, WI.
