Our flagship platform CreditView incorporates credit ratings, research and Moody's data. It is an essential tool that helps our clients in the professional services, commercial and financial industries to conduct fundamental credit analysis. Role/Responsibilities
The Data Platform Product Manager will be responsible for a data engineering squad for one of Moody's Analytics' most critical data platforms. Our data platform has a bias towards rapid shipping and delivery of new data sets. The Data Platform Product Manager will drive towards effective delivery and help unblock team members and decisions efficiently.
This position is part of the Data Strategy team, a dynamic, analytical group that is curious about data but relentlessly focused on driving value for customers and the business.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $139,800 to $202,650, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with our Data Platform Product Owner, Data Strategy, Data Engineering and Product Development teams to bring new data sets to market
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to understand complexity of various solutions and participate in decision making to choose the right implementation approach to solve customer problems
- Manage an agile scrum team and all associated ceremonies
- Facilitate alignment and communication across data and product development squads to monitor interdependencies and make sound decisions
- Responsible for managing a backlog of work for the data engineering team; creating user stories, bugs, and tasks to accomplish the roadmap initiatives
- Responsible for ensuring data is deployed successfully and coordinate effectively with the release management team within Operations and Data Governance
- Establish strong and collaborative relationships with data strategy partners to ensure effective and accurate delivery of new data sets and evolution of existing data
- Ensure that all data quality standards are met and that our best practices around high-quality data delivery are instantiated in our stories and priorities
- Gather appropriate stakeholder input to build, prune, and maintain the product backlog, consisting mostly of user stories, but also defects, production support tickets, refactors and infrastructure work, prioritized based on user value, time dependencies, risk reduction and effort
- Identify opportunities to automate tasks, leverage technology and streamline the delivery of data
- Identify and mitigate risk and ensure controls are in place throughout the data delivery lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor's) or graduate/second-level degree (e.g. MBA, Master's)
- 5+ year(s) of experience in technical product management or data engineering for data intensive B2B products.
- You have a strong grasp of agile methodologies and processes
- Prior technical business analyst or technical product management level knowledge and experience in the data platform or data warehousing space (for example, Athena, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks)
- Experience monitoring and recommending quality assurance standards
- Experience and proficiency using SQL for troubleshooting and analysis
- A driver - focused on driving actions and change; Results oriented.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment and managing a development team supplemented by external consulting or vendor resources.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Superb analytical skills and persistence in problem solving.
- Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm to learn, excel and be a part of a dynamic team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
