Job Description

The Account Executive at Cherokee Federal is responsible for driving growth, building strategic relationships, and achieving revenue targets. The Account Executive will play a crucial role in identifying and pursuing business opportunities, fostering partnerships, and ensuring the successful execution of contracts. It demands a strategic outlook and robust business acumen to establish and implement the overarching direction and objectives for business development. The Account Executive will concentrate on engaging with customers, adopt a collaborative team approach, leverage technical differentiation, and employ contracting solution strategies to propel growth and realize long-term strategic goals. This role also involves financial analysis, scenario planning, forecasting, and the establishment of best practices to deliver high-quality products at targeted profit margins. In addition to identifying potential business opportunities and partners, the Account Executive will be responsible for negotiating agreements, evaluating new markets, and formulating initiatives to penetrate and analyze novel business prospects. Effective communication and collaboration with support areas and operations are imperative to achieving business development objectives and showcasing Cherokee Federal's capabilities and qualifications.

Compensation & Benefits:
Starting Salary Range for Account Executive: $146,000 - $263,000 plus bonus.
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Account Executive Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy.
  • Drive growth through customer interaction, teaming approach, technical differentiation, and contracting solution strategies.
  • Provide leadership in financial analysis, scenario planning, forecasting, and alignment with long-term strategic plans.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trend, competition, and potential clients.
  • Identify potential business opportunities and partners to grow revenue and operating income.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers.
  • Assess new markets, develop initiatives to penetrate, and analyze business opportunities.
  • Establish effective communication with support areas and operations to meet business development goals.
  • Promote Cherokee Federal capabilities and qualifications to assigned client group.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the pipeline.
  • Develop opportunity capture strategies and support their execution.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Account Executive Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in business development activities with the federal government or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience increasing sales and managing contracts in the range of $200M.
  • Ability to develop and implement tactical and strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of assigned client group, including key contacts, decision-makers, and decision-making processes.
  • Strong organization, planning, and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of GSA, 8(a), and Full & Open Government procurements, including Micro Services.
