We understand the need to be creative and flexible when it comes to telecommuting and other alternative work arrangements. This position is eligible for our hybrid remote work and will work in the Tysons Corner, VAoffice four days per week.

Responsibilities

With limited oversight, the SBL Portfolio Manager II drives the credit process by facilitating the collection of financial information; underwrites and spreads financial data; prepares, and submits credit packages for review and approval; reviews loan documentation for accuracy; actively participtes in the management of loan maturities, collection of past due accounts, and clearing of documentation exceptions. Actively participates in the management, servicing, and growth of the small business lending portfolio to meet departmental profitability metrics.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2+ years of commercial credit analysis experience or portfolio management (a combination of commercial credit analysis and relevant lending experience will be considered).
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial loan documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of credit underwriting, financial ratios, credit structures, cash flow, collateral, and guarantor analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Work effectively in a fast paced, high pressure environment.


Preferences:
  • 4 + years of commercial credit analysis experience or portfolio management (a combination of commercial credit analysis and relevant lending experience will be considered).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
  • Formal credit training.
  • Experience structuring and pricing loan transactions to achieve profitability metrics.
