Title: Sales Manager, New & Used Equipment Job Type: Salary – Exempt
Department: Sales Location: Mira Loma, CA
Supervisor: VP Sales
SUMMARY
The Sales Manager, New and Used Equipment’s primary focus is to create, develop, and implement comprehensive curriculum and other resources and materials for training programs that strength and develop the teams’ skills, including accelerating equipment knowledge and application competency by producing physician and digital educational materials. This position supports the VP of Sales to ensure consistent profitable growth in sales development and Company revenue through planning and the deployment of personal and professional coaching at the highest level of customer service satisfaction.

Tactically plan the communication and execution of the company’s “go-to-market strategy” through the management of the sales team.
Be the organizational advocate and champion for the MS Dynamics CRM platform. Analyze, collect, and escalate feedback.
Create wide range of training and development programs and materials to increase speed to application competency, business industry knowledge, products and solutions offered, type of equipment, equipment analysis, rentals, parts, and service offered.
Develop sales material documents to be used as handouts, outlines and reference points on all material handling equipment’s features, benefits, and advantages.
Assist and support account managers in strategizing for opportunities, provide guidance on identifying better and creative financial merchandising solutions, and be a resource on the structing of sale agreements.
Coach and mentor new sales personnel on sales methods and techniques within the second 30 days of hire.
Ensure maximum sales performance of the team by analyzing skills gap, day to day needs, identifying challenges faced and recommend ways to increase productivity.
Research, analyze, create, and implement training solutions on all new lines of equipment / products for the sales team.
Develop self-improvement, best practices, and proven sales techniques and methods to share with the sales team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
Generate results and measure training efficacy to benchmark and evaluate success of training programs; make recommendations for improvements in programs.
Stay up to date with latest trends and demands to be used to develop training content for the sales team.
Report on impact of training programs to sales achieved.
Maintain updated records of training materials, curriculum, and expenses.
Field support via site surveys, demo assistance in accompaniment with salespeople, site/application surveys.
General client facing meetings (ROI, Pricing Proposal, New Strategy Implementation).
Qualifications
Education/Additional Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
5 – 7 years’ experience in a sales position with working knowledge of the sales process and best practices within a material handling/heavy equipment industry; required.
2 – 4 years of experience as a sales training specialist, corporate sales trainer, or similar role; preferred.
Ability to design and manage effective sales training programs.
Ability to motivate, mentor, and coach others to improve sales skills.
Financial acumen.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Driven, self-motivated, sales focus.
Proficient with MSWord, Excel, and other internal applications.
Valid Driver’s License/Acceptable Driving Record.
Travel as required.
