To support our growth in the US, Midea is expanding its research and innovation capabilities at Midea America Research Center (MARC). With this objective, MARC seeks an Industrial Designer for our Vacuum Products.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Generate creative conceptual designs for the floor care products.Responsible for industrial design research and development for floor care products, feature development, collaboration, and the establishment of plans of actions and milestone tracking.Translate Eureka brand promise into compelling conceptual designs.Utilize project stage review results to improve designs according to the review feedback and analysis.Drive implementation of evolving concept designs throughout the life of the product development project and maintain appropriate versions of the design model.Conduct competitive benchmarking regarding appearance, feature set, functionality, installation, etc. as well as benchmarking Midea products and proposals. Convert the results into an overall strategy and product direction.Participate in floor care product design reviews, and guide design modifications based on review feedback.Evaluate the product portfolio and identify opportunities for product improvementCollect, organize, communicate, and document design information.Collect, organize, communicate, and document material and process information.Qualifications:
Bachelors and/or above degree in industrial design.Proficient in common industrial design graphics and image processing software, such as the Adobe series, Solidworks, etc.3- 7 years' experience working as an industrial designer.Possess strong design expression skills and must provide a portfolio of past design worksHave good creative thinking abilities, user empathy, strong user perception, and strong understanding and analytical abilities.Possess good communication skills and a spirit of teamwork.Must be a self-starter who continuously examines opportunities for the product portfolio.This is a full-time position. Some domestic and international travel is required.
