Purpose

Manages and implements current model year pricing and facilitates the execution of operational pricing activities for the Genesis passenger car/ battery electric vehicle portfolio.Be a key driver for innovation to advance Genesis pricing to optimize work efficiency and enhance analytical capability.Major Responsibilities

Create price positioning and launch pricing proposals for new model year to each model's unique market circumstances.Obtain executive approval on pricing proposals with Finance and Sales Distribution to meet vehicle wholesale targets.Identify profit improvement opportunities to increase enterprise profit by looking at competitive pricing actions, mix variances, availability/turn rates, and market dynamics.Create vehicle pricing forecasts for development of annual budget and track budgeted per vehicle gross profitability against actual performance to ensure each assigned models are achieving calendar year target.Publish approved vehicle pricing (internal system entry) and execute materials for regional and dealer pricing announcements for assigned vehicles.Ensure the consistency and accuracy of all pricing documents used for internal and external communication.Major Responsibilities (continued)

Collaborate with PLM, Genesis Global Headquarters, North American Product Planning, APS, and Finance divisions, as well as the U.S. Sales division to understand vehicle packaging plans, financial goals, and sales objectives.Manage pricing-related consulting engagements, residual forecasting, new model price/product events, etc. to maximize residual value, improve 3rd party perception of all Genesis models, and communicate model pricing and value position within the segment.Analyze and provide recommendations for ad-hoc pricing strategy-related requests.Authority

Authority to access all relevant costs, product specs, and plans to effectively develop pricing recommendations for executive approval.Authorized to recommend pricing levels based on supporting analysis of forecasted volume levels, competitive practice, planned incentive spend, margin and revenue requirements, sales efficiency, etc.Direct impact on company/dealer profitability and sales effectiveness.Authorized to input pricing into SAP.This role requires the performance of work directly related to management and/or general business operations.The exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance is required.Education

Related Experience

Six or more years of experience preferably related to automotive industry with focus on quantitative and competitive analyses.Automotive OEM experience preferred.Experience pricing consumer products preferred.Skills/Knowledge

Self-starter, ability to thrive with little supervision, navigating an ambiguous product environment to define future model positioning within current product whitespace.Ability to explain complex issues and assess the impact of pricing-based decisions on each Genesis model in relation to the overall lineup and competitive marketplace.Ability to formulate well-structured data-driven arguments and communicate, both written and orally, to all levels of management.Strong quantitative analytical skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, SAP, and ability to grasp new concepts, large databases and proprietary software.Certification
