Tecknomic is searching for IT Support Technician professionals for upcoming long-term projects with the Baltimore County Public School System (BCPSS). These are full-time,

onsite positions in Baltimore

with Tecknomic and the project is with BCPSS. This role is expected to become available in mid-September.

Please note that candidates will need to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination, if offered the role.

Work location will be at multiple schools/locations within Baltimore County.Travel is a part of this position's duties.BCPS does not pay mileage for contractor positions.Interview

All candidates must present a fingerprint card indicating they passed their background check.Must be able to work onsite and travel between multiple locationsDuration of the assignment is a minimum of 6 months but could be indefinite.The ideal candidate must possess the following:

Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively with all levels of customers including administrators, staff, students and vendorsInstalls and supports new devices along with accompanying software (these devices can include computers, tablets, projectors, document cameras as examples)Coordinates the repair of student and teacher laptop computers including performing diagnostic repair proceduresInstalls and configures supported device operating systemsPerforms routine diagnostics and maintenance with multiple operating systemsInstalls and configures applications and other supported software packagesTests new releases for supported systemsPerforms network support and troubleshooting dutiesProvides consultation and/or training to teachers, staff and students on the operation of technology equipment and software packagesTroubleshoots hardware and software issuesAssists teachers with resolving device related problemsIntegrates knowledge and skills from a range of technologies to address work assignments and problems of moderate complexityCoordinates with vendors when necessaryParticipates as team member on small and/or large projectsRecords activities in the work order systemUpdates/Creates internal supported system documentationRequired Skills:

Associates Degree in a related technology areaMinimum of three (3) years' experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting and maintaining device softwareKnowledge of Windows and Apple hardware and software platformsAbility to perform technical tasks with minimal supervisionMust be able to follow oral and written directionsAny equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.Must have own transportation and valid driver's license (Required license must be maintained throughout employment in this position)Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb a ladderDesired Skills:

Possess certifications such as CompTIA, A+ certification, HP Certification, other hardware vendor specific certifications.
