Senior Director of Sales

Our client, a prominent player in the logistics and supply chain sector, is renowned for their exceptional service and robust international presence. With a dynamic growth trajectory and an expanding footprint, they are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Sales to lead and elevate their National Sales Division.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of National Sales, this position will oversee a team of Sales Directors and Sales Personnel, guiding them towards achieving ambitious growth targets. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record in building high-performing sales teams and establishing strong client relationships, particularly within the logistics and supply chain industry.

Focus:

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth across the National Sales Division.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Directors and Sales Personnel, fostering a high-performance culture.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the division’s market presence.

Collaborate with the Vice President of National Sales to align sales strategies with overall company goals.

Monitor and analyze sales metrics to ensure targets are met and adjust strategies as needed.

Represent the division in high-level client meetings and industry events.

Ensure effective communication and coordination between the sales team and other departments.

Skill Set:

Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in the logistics or supply chain industry, with a proven track record of building and leading successful sales teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

Extensive knowledge of export, air, and ocean logistics. Demonstrated success in expanding market presence and driving sales growth.

Strong background in team building and mentoring. Ability to inspire and motivate a sales team, driving both individual and team performance.

Established network of industry contacts and a solid understanding of key market dynamics.

Fluency in English is required. Japanese language skills are desirable but not mandatory.
