Key Accountabilities:Reviewing the work instructions against the regulatory and customer requirements to ensure all requirements are capturedKeep track of Customer specific (i.e. POSH, EO's, EA's) requirements as the product is being built vs inspection time available at the end of the rework to submit to the customer for approval which delays shipment/invoice of revenuePopulate the FAA 8130 as the product is being reworked vs inspection time available at the end of the rework which delays shipment/invoice of revenueAssist the chief inspector with updating and maintaining the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Repair ManualsProviding technical assistance to the mechanic and inspectorsHelp implement SMS system by December 2025 to meet FAA requirementsReorganize folder structure for Repair StationConduct repair station Audits, developing a Master Audit schedule.Establish a training matrix and get into SLS to make it easier to track.Create Training as required against GAP AnalysisEnsure that all training necessary for air carriers is conducted and understood.Rework forms manual and formsCertify them as a Back-up AI (Authorized Individual) for aftermarketImplement ASL to reflect Aftermarket, Repair Station certified and uncertified suppliers.Conduct and approve any new suppliers needed for repair.Conduct Tooling Equivalency as needed.Conduct GAP Analysis for C.A.S.E. 1A Standard.Apply knowledge of quality policies and practices to develop, document, and maintain quality systems and operating proceduresDevelop and administer directives, policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements to assure quality system complianceApply knowledge of quality policies and governmental regulations to develop and administer long-range customer inspection plans, acting as agent/designee for customer, to meet contractual and other requirementsAbility to perform design reviews to ensure that quality is engineered into the product and toolApply knowledge of engineering (e.g., manufacturing, tooling, quality, and statistics, etc.) to analyze requirements of contracts, drawings and specifications to develop plans for the application of quality disciplines to processesAbility to perform configuration audits and reviews of products, tools, and processesAbility to compile, measure and analyze process capability data, models to perform trend analyses and risk assessmentsSkill in process improvement methodologies (i.e., root cause analysis) to plan and coordinate process improvementsAbility to ensure sequenced inspection control points, create and maintain inspection accountability systemsAbility to identify, evaluate, and implement preventative measures, corrective action, procedural changes, process improvements and present resultant findingsProvide education and coaching on the Quality Management Systems for the Repair Station
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:6-9 years of experience in a quality discipline, preferably in inspection, aerospace, or manufacturingAirframe and Powerplant License or previous experience to obtain repairman's certificate preferredHigh School Diploma or GED
