We are especially committed to creating empowering CS experiences for our female, Latinx, Black, and low-income students. We build sustainably by providing teachers with the support and tools they need to lead exceptional computer science learning experiences.As a Fundraising and Development Manager, you will execute on key fundraising and communication tasks to unlock growth for our organization. This role involves supporting the development of fundraising strategies through data-driven insights, implementing those strategies, representing 9 Dots in meetings, and managing the financial aspects of donor relationships. You will also play a crucial role in building the fundraising team.Responsibilities:Fundraising & DevelopmentExecute fundraising activities aligned with the organization's strategic goals as defined by the CEO and Board of Directors.Build and manage a portfolio of revenue opportunities, ensuring effective implementation of fundraising strategies.Research and identify leads and potential proposal opportunities.Support the CEO in raising individual, corporate, and foundation donations, fostering strong donor relations.Manage day-to-day operations related to current and incoming donations, including donor database management.Plan and execute events, donor interactions, and site visits, including collaborations with corporate employee giving programs.Coordinate with fundraising contractors and collaborate with the Sr. Finance and Operations Manager to produce accurate and timely financial reports.Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities and initiatives to meet the organization’s financial goals.Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring major donors are engaged and informed.Communication & ManagementExecute communication strategies around fundraising, partnering with the CEO to position 9 Dots as a thought leader in CS Education.Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making in communications.Play a key role in building and developing the fundraising team.Manage the maintenance of the website, newsletter, and social media platforms to ensure consistent and updated content.RequirementsPassion for 9 Dots’ mission.Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, communications, business, or economics) or equivalent work experience.Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.Strong execution skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage medium-large (~200 attendees) events.Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.Proactive communicator and self-manager.Has transportation (public or personal) and is willing to travel to various locations in the broader LA County region.Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.BonusAn informed perspective on the student population we serve and/or the teachers we support.Additional qualifications in communications, business, public relations, or fundraising.Competence with donor management systems.Experience in grant writing, press releases, and fundraising communications.Confidence in public speaking.Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility.Experience in financial management and nonprofit development or management.Access to a network of LA headquartered corporations and/or education foundations.Experience with Mac OS operating systemsStart Date:
