BIW is hiring Desktop Publishers at the following levels:2nd Class Designer: $25.93/Hr. - $27.97/Hr.
3rd Class Designer: $21.75/Hr. - $25.03/Hr.Benefits package includes:Annual wage and promotion increasesFlexible work schedulesVacation/Sick time options401k matching.
These positions are for first shift:The successful candidates will join the Technical Publications group of BIW's Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) organization as a Desktop Publisher. The primary focus of this group is development and submittal of the US Navy Technical Manual products required by our contracts. The Desktop Publisher will accomplish the following tasks:Review the format of US Navy technical manual products to ensure adherence to contract requirements.Utilize desktop publishing software to produce new and revised US Navy technical manuals.Prepare and submit Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) data items.Required/Preferred Education/Training
High School Diploma / GED required. Associates Degree preferred.Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, are required.Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are required.Above average familiarity with Microsoft Office programs is required.Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Must be detail orientated, well organized, and able to strictly adhere to product schedules.
Required/Preferred Experience
This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance.

and you must be able to obtain an interim security clearance within the first 45 days of hire.
