Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a

Senior Production/QA Engineer

at Pax River, Maryland. This effort supports the Strategic Integrated Kinetic Effects (STRIKE) Project Office (PO), which has been tasked to field the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) and Mid-Range Capability (MRC) Army weapon systems.***Contingent upon contract award***Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:Provide engineering and scientific expertise in the planning, development, and execution of requirements reviews and design reviews for LRHW and MRC weapon systems and any other weapon systems reporting to the PO.

Assist in the development of assessment briefings and coordinate requirements review and design review summary reports as part of Milestone Documentation requirements and PEO and other agency independent assessment requirements.Provide technical input to the formulation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to include recommendations on statements of work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), and Document Summary Lists (DSL).Support and maintain the document repository containing all CDRLs system specifications, data requirements, and associated attachments.Provide technical, engineering, and management support for the planning, direction, and control of programs.Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as evaluations, reports, studies, briefings, recommended specifications, draft standards, and commercial item descriptions for LRHW and MRC product development.Provide technical recommendations and expertise in missiles and the interface between munitions and launcher systems to include: source selection and other evaluation/contracting efforts.Perform trade-off studies and risk assessment analysis of candidate systems and provide approaches to mitigate the risks.Provide inputs to the integrated master schedule such as should cost, schedule, and production status for the LRHW and MRC programs.Provide technical expertise to briefings, meetings, working groups, core teams to include development and refinement of briefing materials and suggested responses to action items, as well as support to acquisition reviews and Configuration Steering Boards and planning activities for LRHW and MRC programs.Provide engineering and scientific expertise in all aspects of guidance and control systems including sensors, guidance technologies, navigation and control devices, data and guidance links, electronics, computer/processor hardware, software and associated interfaces for weapons systems.Provide management support for the planning, direction, and execution of functional support to programs. The contractor shall prepare and maintain technical documentation such as evaluations, reports, studies and, briefings. The contractor shall aid in the development of the weekly activities report, develop briefings outlining the specific issues, current status and mitigation plans and approaches to resolving the specific issues.

Coordinate, document and communicate requirements for the support of the STRIKE Risk Management process.

Prepare and maintain performance management documentation such as evaluations, reports, studies, briefings, personnel tracking information, and organizational data.

Participate in Technical Exchange Working Groups by recording action items, statusing action item summaries, and creating minutes for Government approval.

Provide Quality Assurance technical advice, assistance and recommendations in support of Quality Assurance and Source Selection audit activities and in- plant production line validations.Provide technical expertise in support of the Government's administration of Quality Assurance programs (ISO-9000/AS9100), plans and procedures,statements of work, performance work statements, technical data package reviews, contractor design compliance verification plans, and government/contractor manufacturing planning instructions.Provide technical expertise for the development of special processes and procedures to include non-destructive testing, welding, heat treatment, soldering, painting and calibration.Provide technical recommendations and assistance to include planning, designing, development, production and overhaul GSE.

Assist with technical issues found from production batch testing and issues with part interchangeability, and quality assurance reporting for all STRIKE launcher production quality issues.

Gather relevant production and related/impacting hardware and software delivery information for munitions and GSE in support of Production Division.

Evaluate the data for sufficiency, and coordinate with authoritative sources and data originators to resolve any inconsistencies in the received data. The contractor shall cross check and verify data interdependencies for product-to-product consistency.

Provide technical expertise in support of the Government's administration of the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) programs. The contractor shall provide support for the analyses of collected test data from the field, depot, test ranges, and production line.

Support failure analysis tasks and analyze impact to fielded hardware. The contractor shall gather relevant reliability data impacting delivered hardware, record and maintain the data in a RAM database. The contractor shall evaluate the data for sufficiency, coordinate with source/data originators to resolve any inconsistencies in the data, cross check and verify interdependencies, and compile, analyze and report results.
