We are looking for our next
Process Engineering Intern
within our Refinery C - Dextrose and Fructose Team for summer 2025. The Process Engineering Intern will report directly to the Senior Process Engineer and will be responsible for various projects within Roquette's Manufacturing Plant.
This position is located in Keokuk, Iowa.

Process Engineer assigned project(s), which will improve performance in the areas of energy, chemicals, product yields, and reliabilityWill learn the process or unit operation tied to the project(s) that they are assigned, such as chemical conversion, ion exchange, crystallization, evaporations, etc.Will provide engineering studies, designs and justifications to support Operations goalsMay keep historical data to analyze and monitor key parameters to assist with troubleshooting and meeting costs or production goalsWhat You'll Need:
Education:
Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical). Sophomore or Junior level class standing preferredExperience:
No previous experience is requiredA results-based, goal-focused mindset with a natural curiosity, demonstrated by extracurricular involvement in clubs or communityLeadership and/or work experience to supplement strong student achievementYour Profile:
Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skillsEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to collaborate in a team environment and engage with diverse stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically data analysis tools, such as ExcelDemonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionFlexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectivelyWork Environment
This role spends approximately 50% of the time in an office environment and 50% of the time in the lab/plant environmentPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is an hourly position, M-F. Interns are not to exceed 40 hours per week
