SUMMARYProvides level one technology support as it relates to supporting basic computer, networking, and peripheral devices in the teaching and learning environment at the school level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties may be assigned.Create, resolve, escalate, and close Help Desk tickets using the Help Desk management system.Document all troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference using Knowledge Base Solutions.Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computers, peripherals, network connectivity, and printers as assigned.Assists level 2 and level 3 technology support staff in the installation, maintenance, training and use of District standard equipment including but not limited to: iPads, Chromebooks, Laptops (Windows and Mac), Printers, Document Cameras, Digital Cameras and interactive projectors.Assists level 2 and level 3 technology support staff in the installation, maintenance, training and use of District standard software including but not limited to: iOS apps, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Power School.Maintains inventory of technology equipment assigned to designated building.Provide support for all District testing (IAR, MAP, ACCESS, etc.).Provide training to end users as related to technology.Provide, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity.Maintain ongoing organization and cleanliness in assigned computer areas.Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAssociates degree or experience in related field preferred.Experience with technology equipment, software and web applications preferably in an educational setting.Experience working with end-users and/or customers.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLSGeneral understanding of web-based applications.General understanding of software applications including Microsoft 365and Google Workspace, and Apple Suite.Capacity to learn, demonstrate proficiency and instruct others in computer and video network operations required.General understanding of mobile device management system.CompTIA A+ or comparable experience.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS :Excellent communication skills required.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, correspondence and user documentation as needed.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, support staff, teachers and administrators.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
