Each day is a little bit different as an intern, so if you value variety in your day, Frazier & Deeter is for you! Your internship may include, but will not be limited to, the following:TAXIn depth training on the processes, procedures, and technology used on a daily basisA collaborative work environment that allows you direct access to professionals from every level with diverse skillsets and areas of expertiseThe opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, including the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and/or S CorporationsNetworking events designed to help you build relationships with your F&D familyAUDITWorking with seniors and managers on a variety of client engagements from various industries, often times acting as the associate on the engagementGaining testing experience in many sections of the audit, including planning procedures, various balance sheet and income statement testing areas, and reporting proceduresWorking on ad-hoc projects for the department as they ariseTraveling to client sites and gaining hands-on experienceBuilding relationships with team members and clientsReviewing feedback with your seniors and managers to continue to improve your workReaching out to your Intern Buddy to get some advice over lunchNetworking with FD staff and fellow interns at firm social eventsAsking questions and growing professionally to best prepare yourself for a career in public accountingWhat skills do I need?A positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning new thingsProblem solving skills and the ability to think strategicallyWritten and verbal communication skills that demonstrate professionalismA strong work ethic and eagerness to follow through on assignmentsThe openness to giving and receiving honest feedbackExperience with Microsoft Office tools including with Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointMust be pursuing an accounting degreeValid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites (Audit Only)
