Job Summary

Manages, assesses, designs, executes, analyzes and reports on the curation and/or discovery of consumer understanding through primary/secondary consumer research, uncovering and activating actionable insights, identifying new opportunities, unlocking growth and driving strategic direction/innovation. Delivers deep consumer understanding fueling strategic Category Growth and supports regional initiatives as well as Regional Customer opportunities using insights that differentiate IFF as a thought leader and a partner of choice.

Regional Consumer Insights Manager, North America

This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the world's best flavor/ingredient companies uncovering new opportunities for growth and innovation fueled by consumer understanding. Working in close collaboration with a dedicated Consumer Intelligence team and side by side with category and innovation colleagues, you'll be responsible for ensuring that actionable insight is available and being leveraged for strategic decision making and innovation road-mapping. We are looking for an agile and passionate team member that likes the variety of working across multiple food and beverage categories with diverse project objectives, and enjoys contributing as part of a cross functional team.

Reporting to the Global Consumer Intelligence Director, you'll foster an insight-led culture and help capture new business opportunities for the North American region. You'll be responsible for guiding the creation of category growth strategies with consumer insight and supporting category initiatives with quality research.

You'll spend your time designing primary research using mixed methods (traditional & digital), curating existing research, running insight activation sessions and communicating thought leadership that differentiates IFF in the marketplace. You'll use traditional and digital consumer research methods, deliberate creative thinking processes, design thinking principles and in-person and virtual facilitation best practice.

Skills/Experience:Education Requirements: BA Degree in Sensory/Consumer Insight, Marketing, Market Research, Human Sciences, and/or Psychology. Master's degree preferred.Previous Experience: 7-10 years of industry experience in consumer science, consumer insight, or sensory & consumer insight. This role requires a high level of autonomy and entrepreneurship, and a high level of professionalism to manage, inform and influence diverse stakeholders, understand the complexities of the business and take a lead to integrate research into the business decision-making process.Proficiency in human & consumer research methods, data analysis & interpretation, insight crafting, socialization and activation, data storytelling, and presentation and facilitation skillsCreative Problem Solving/Design Thinking/Facilitation certifications preferred
