JOB SUMMARY:

The Application Support Specialist will have two roles. 1. As a Liaison between IT, casino, and vendor to resolve workflow and other operational issues. 2. Perform technical and skilled duties in the operation of enterprise, client/server and desktop computer systems and networks. The position will perform technical support for multiple on-premises, cloud, and peripheral equipment on enterprise computing systems. The position will work on a project team and individually. The IT Application Support Specialist will support software systems that reach across multiple casino and resort operational areas and technical platforms that includes the technical installation, training, support as well as administration and troubleshooting support of windows platforms and SQL servers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required skills and knowledge:

High school diploma or GED certificateBachelor's degree Required (Information Systems or a similar Technical Degree) and 2 years of job experience in a technical field OR 5 years on the job experience in a technical field.Must be dependable, responsible, and willing to work a flexible schedule.Ability to respond to critical issues after working hours on a limited basis.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to work without direct supervision.Possess excellent decision-making skills.Ability to manage time effectively.Administrative abilities, including record keeping.Excellent customer service skills.Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.Preferred skills and knowledge:

Industry specific knowledge of products such as Sage, Inform HMS, InfoGenesis, Everi, Red Rock, applications experience desiredIntimate knowledge of an organization's computing systemsAbility to explain complex ideas to those with limited IT and systems knowledgeExceptional verbal and written communication skillsListening ability and patienceExtraordinary customer service and relationship management experienceCritical thinking skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
