Lexington Park Health & Rehab is looking for a part time day CNA for our weekend shift. Job SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of a licensed nurse. Duties and Responsibilities:Comply with the Facility's personnel, safety and corporate policies and proceduresComply with the nursing department's policies and proceduresReport witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse, neglect, exploitation, misappropriation of resident property, and social media violations immediately to the Administrator or supervisorTreat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with dignity and respectMaintain the confidentiality of all resident and family informationMust develop and maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other departmentsReport to work on time and as scheduled. Attend mandatory trainings and meetingsReport any complaints/grievances made by residents to the Grievance Officer or per policyAssist in admission and discharge of residentAssist residents in daily oral careAssist residents in bathing functions (bed bath, tub, or shower)Assist residents in overall groomingKeep residents dry - changing clothing and linen when it becomes soiled or wetMake beds, changing linens when needed and as scheduledAssist residents in bowel and bladder functionsCollect specimens (urine, sputum, stools, etc.)Assist residents in preparing for activity and social programsAssist in transporting residents to/from meals, appointments, activity, and social programs both inside and outside the facilityAssist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etcAssist residents in ambulation and mobilityProper use of gait beltsPerform and document resident blood pressure, oxygen, temperature, pulse, respirations (TPR), weight, and height measurementsAnswer resident call lights promptlyReport and document any change observed in a resident's condition or behavior to the Charge NursePrepare residents for meals, serve and remove trays, and assist in feeding and providing fluids, as requiredDistribute ice, drinking water, other fluids and nourishments to residentsAssist in the care of dying residentsProvide post-mortem careCheck assigned residents routinely to ensure personal care needs are being metOrganize and straighten resident rooms daily and as neededBag soiled linens and trash in appropriate bags, linen bins and trash cansComplete required documentation of care and services as they are providedGive report to oncoming shift per facility policyMay not leave your assigned shift until supervisor releases youJob Requirements:Must have a valid CNA certification that is in good standing with the StateMust have basic computer skillsIf required to operate a motor vehicle for business purposes, must successfully complete the requirements contained in Company's Motor Vehicles policyMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessaryMust be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situationsMust be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodationEmployee is required to use a transfer/gait belt or to obtain the assistance of another employee when attempting to assist residents when lifting or carrying objects in excess of 25 pounds.
