Description
The Business Development Manager is accountable for maintaining sales coverage and developing the market for Wesco products and services within an assigned geographical territory an extensive traveling; for collaborating with Inside/Outside Sales and branch offices in support of building and maintaining sales; and incorporating Wesco sales initiatives, policies and programs in support of business plans and strategic objectives.Individual will work independently to solidify customer relationships through sales calls, application and design assistance, and product demonstrations, through maintaining a strong market intelligence, product knowledge and awareness of local competitive conditions; and will provide prompt reporting to the Outside Sales Director.Qualifications
BA or BS degree in Marketing, Engineering or Business is preferred ; or a combination of relevant education and experience5 years minimum Aerospace Industry Outside Sales experience; or 5 years Wesco Inside Sales experience requiredCurrent contacts and working relationships within the aerospace/industrial marketDemonstrated basic to intermediate knowledge of Wesco customers, product lines and sales initiativesProven knowledge of industry materials and specification requirementsMust have knowledge of aerospace industry and good product knowledge with application engineeringIntermediate or advanced knowledge of industry materials and specificationsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsClear and accurate documentation skillsStrong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically with both internal and external customers
