Director- Industry SegmentYour role and responsibilities

The role of the Market Development Manager is to define and execute marketing and sales strategies for our Data Centers segment aimed at increasing both top line revenues and bot-tom-line margins at the vertical market segment. The successful candidate will ensure the definition of the business plan, annual sales plans, and marketing strategies according to budget. Leadership and coaching of extended indirect teams across sales, product management, marketing and associated support teams will be critical to success.This role is open to remote candidates across the US (#LI-Remote). This role will require up to 50% travel (primarily domestic, some overseas) to support sales and customer needs.You will be mainly accountable for:- Planning and implementing the go-to-market vertical market strategy including definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategies.- Analyzing market segment customer needs for the portfolio; identifying and helping the team to execute winning value propositions and strategies to penetrate and WIN market share within the target segments- Defining Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets for existing products as well as new product launches in collaboration with the Marketing function and ensuring their achievement.- Identifying and guiding key decision makers within the market segment, which can consist of OEM's, end users, general and electrical contractors, and engineering specification firms. Collaborates with all related internal contacts, such as Sales, Marketing and Product Management to ensure alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness in the implementation of the commercial strategy.Qualifications for the role

BS/BA in business, marketing, engineering, or related fields required.10-12 years of experience in sales/marketing/product management/product marketing or relevant industry.Working ability to develop an understanding of industry differences between product performance requirements with respect to the product portfolio.Experience with customer relations via service, visits, relationships, etc. preferred.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.More about us
