Seeking a highly skilled L3/L4 VMware Engineer with extensive experience in VMware virtualization technologies, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of enterprise-level infrastructure. This role involves implementing, and maintaining VMware environments, as well as providing expert-level support to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:• VMware Infrastructure Management:o Deploy, and manage VMware vSphere environments.o Perform advanced configuration and optimization of VMware infrastructure.o Implement and manage vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and virtual machines.• Troubleshooting and Support:o Provide L3/L4 support for VMware-related issues, including performance tuning and capacity planning.o Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to VMware infrastructure.o Collaborate with L1/L2 support teams to escalate and resolve issues promptly.• Performance and Security:o Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of VMware environments.o Implement and maintain security best practices within VMware infrastructure.o Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.• Disaster Recovery and Backup:o Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for VMware environments.o Ensure regular backups and replication of virtual machines and data.• Documentation and Training:o Create and maintain detailed documentation of VMware infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.o Provide training and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and support staff.
Qualifications:• Education and Experience:o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).o 10+ years of experience in managing and supporting VMware environments.o VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP, VCDX) are highly preferred.• Technical Skills:o In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and related technologies..o Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerCLI, Python, Bash).o Familiarity with network and storage concepts as they relate to VMware environments.Vmware L3/L4
